Scatterplots- Used to show the relationship between two sets of data. Sometimes a relationship between variables cannot be easily depicted. Usually have a trend line which is a line that closely fits the data and can be used to describe it. These trend lines can be used to make predictions.  (positive, negative, or no association trends)




Line Graphs- Shows a trend of a variable over time. Time is usually on the horizontal axis and the variable is on the vertical axis.
